Short biography:
Stephanie Strickland's manuscript, "V," won the 2000 Alice Fay di Castagnola Award from the Poetry Society of America. Her "Ballad of Sand and Harry Soot" was chosen for an About.com Best of the Net award and also won the 1999 Boston Review prize. "To Be Here as Stone Is," co-authored with M. D. Coverley, appears in Riding the Meridian. Her full-length hypertext poem, True North, published by Eastgate Systems, won a Salt Hill hypertext prize. Strickland's essays about electronic literature appear online in ebr and in American Letters & Commentary. She is the author of the print books True North, The Red Virgin: A Poem of Simone Weil, and Give the Body Back.
