Short biography:
Rui Torres was born in Oporto, Portugal (1973), studied communication sciences (BA from UFP, 1996), Portuguese and Brazilian literature (MA and PhD from UNC-CH, USA, 2002), and cyberliterature (postdoctoral fellow of FCT-Fundação para a Ciência e a Tecnologia at PUC-Sao Paulo, Brazil, 2005–7). He is Associate Professor of the Faculty of Human and Social Sciences at University Fernando Pessoa (UFP-Oporto), Portugal, where he coordinates the Project 'PO.EX'70-80 - Digital Archive of Portuguese Experimental Literature' (PTDC/CLE-LLI/098270/2008), funded by FCT and the European Union. He is the Director of the academic journal Cibertextualidades (UFP Press).
