    Short biography:

Kathleen Ottinger was born and raised in New York. She considers herself a “literary artist,” as she maintains both a writing practice and a visual arts practice, which often overlap. Her work often investigates the relationship between text and image, memory and its fallibility, and how physical beings find meaning in a world that has become increasingly digital. In 2014, she received her B.F.A. in Film, Animation and Video from the Rhode Island School of Design (RISD) and her B.A. in Literary Arts from Brown University. Kathleen Ottinger lives and works in Providence, RI.
